Mobile Word Congres 2009, news from Barcelona

In Spain the DVB-H standard is still to be adopted for use but operators already offer TV channels through their 3G networks. Spanish technological developer Sidsa, which owns pay-TV conditional access system KeyFly, is having success in countries such as Iran, Russia and Indonesia with its mobile TV conditional access system of the same name. At this congress the company will present tactile mobile phones where users can watch high quality television.
In total, Abertis has deployed seven networks in order to give coverage to mobile TV demonstrations in different existing standards such as DVB-H, DVB-SH and MediaFLO. On this occasion the news is on the use of the DVB-SH technology which will allow the live demonstration of mobile TV in the S band in the city of Barcelona.
